Built by an NRI for NRIs

Hi, I'm Sachin.

Chartered Accountant turned AI product builder. Delhi → Bangalore → Singapore → Dubai. 23 years across Microsoft, IBM, and First Abu Dhabi Bank.

My story

I'm a Chartered Accountant by training and an NRI by lived experience. I left Delhi in my mid-twenties, spent four years in Bangalore at IBM, twelve years in Singapore at Microsoft, and the last three in Dubai at First Abu Dhabi Bank. My parents stayed in India. Like most of you reading this, I've spent my adult life splitting taxes, currencies, and bank accounts across two countries — and watching the people I love try to plan retirement with tools designed for people who never crossed a border.

Professionally, I spent the first half of my career running global finance operations — a $65 billion procure-to-pay portfolio at Microsoft, 500-person teams across five delivery centres, two million invoices a year. The second half I spent rebuilding those operations as AI and automation products: a predictive invoice-risk model that delivered $18M of annualised value, finance digital workers replacing 110+ support aliases, and most recently a Total Cost of Ownership framework for AED 2 billion of bank-wide IT spend at FAB. I'm currently doing Northwestern Kellogg's AI Strategies program.

NRI Retire Wise is the tool I wanted for my own family. Generic FIRE calculators don't know what RNOR is. They don't model NRE versus NRO honestly. They don't understand that a UAE-resident with INR mutual funds shouldn't grow them at UAE equity rates. So I built one that does — with the same product discipline I'd apply at a Fortune-100 employer, except this time the goal is honesty about what your money will actually do.

The limits

NRI Retire Wise is not financial advice. I'm not a licensed financial advisor, and this site doesn't pretend to be one. It's a transparent calculator: it shows you the math behind a retirement plan, in plain English, with every assumption visible and editable. Every rate, every projection, every tax rule is auditable in the engine itself.

If you need regulated advice, talk to a fee-only NRI advisor — I can connect you to one. If you want to understand what your money will actually do across two countries before that conversation, this is for you.
